Drawing and painting basics – the scope of material:

• various drawing and painting techniques
• principles of composition
• issues of colour and light in painting and drawing
• conceptual sketch
• building space
• observation of nature as a base for multiple artistic events
• shaping various attitudes through individual research

Practical application of the above principles:

• model study, nude
• still life study
• nature study

After mastering the basic elements, the students improve their technical skills and solve artistic problems on their own.

Realisation of drawing and painting tasks taking into account the issues of composition, proportions, range of colour combinations, colour temperatures, spatial plan combinations, perspective, contrasts, use of line and stain, deformations etc.

The above is a preparation for the independent selection of means of artistic self-fulfilment. It is the basis for forming one’s own artistic expression and arousing sensitivity, shaping artistic awareness.
