Head of the studio:
_____
As the name suggests, the lithography studio is engaged in the study of studio graphics, lithography, i.e. printing from stone, as well as algraphy and offset printing elements. Students can learn about the technological complexities of flat printing, as well as its unique properties and artistic quality. We also acquaint students with the history of printing and the influence that lithographic printing had on the contemporary world of printing.
Lithography, printing with the help of limestone slate, is not as such the aim in our studio, but a pretext. Our aim is to educate conscious graphic artists, painters, for whom this medium is to be another element in building their form, their artistic skills, or cognitive issues. Of course, it is fantastic if sometimes a graduate of the studio deals with lithography in his "adult" artistic life, but if, thanks to lithography, we manage to develop his technical skills and influence positively the repertoire of future creation, then such teaching makes a lot of sense.
The 304 study group operates in the studio, which is currently run by student Kamil Kak. The group mainly deals with conducting night-time workshops in experimental and unusual graphic techniques.
