The studio prepares interior design students to design unique furniture, incorporating the student's individual artistic expression and ability to combine construction, function and material.

Students develop an awareness of furniture design in harmony with factors shaping the immediate human environment. They learn to use material and technological innovations. They design according to the idea of sustainable development with respect for traditional craftsmanship.

The studio programme, through diverse forms of classes, allows students to become familiar with the complex furniture design process:

Laboratories – supplement knowledge in the field of outstanding contemporary and historical achievements in furniture design and design. They familiarise students with the basics of marketing in the furniture industry.

Exercises include a research and design phase.

The classes are based on a set of tasks including problems of designing multifunctional seating and lounge furniture as well as storage furniture. These classes confront the student's knowledge and imagination with the reality of specific design requirements.

These classes provide expertise in form, furniture construction, ergonomics, materials used, requirements and conditions of industrial production.

Workshop – Practical classes in the prototype workshop – allow students to become acquainted with the technology of joining wood, metal and plastic, as well as realising prototypes on their own.
