Private Interior Design Basics

The programme of the subject includes skills of defining functions in interiors addressed to a private investor and proper design of rooms in accordance with ergonomic studies. The subject is based on the knowledge of the shaping of space and architectural form in relation to people. The substantive scope of the subject assumes that students will be familiarised with such design elements as: shaping of space, proportions and their mutual relations, material, texture, light, colour, detail, problems of function, character, possible stylistic or historical relations, relation to the environment and context, and the ability to recognise and define them. Part of the programme is also learning the schemes for developing and producing correct and clear technical documentation of designed private interiors.
